Let Nature In

Let Nature In

$975.00

Acrylic and Pastel on Canvas

36”L x 36”H

This painting is part of the Summer 2020 series inspired by Baea Home. Baea is a contemporary homeware company based out of Hong Kong. This photo beautifully encompasses their philosophy "Let Nature In." Baea writes "This house is on a remote Norwegian island, just south of the Arctic Circle, has an intimate connection with its rocky, mossy surroundings. We love imaging hours spent there, watching the light change on the sea and mist tumbling over the mountains. Big windows are always popular with us at Baea. They blur the boundaries between interiors and the landscapes that provide so much of our design inspiration. And also, they frame the view — creating something akin to constantly changing abstract paintings."

There is something so magical about being immersed in nature.  Immediately I feel free, grounded, and at ease. I tried to emulate that same sense of serenity in this painting.  Much like Baea home, nature’s beauty serves as my inspiration

As designers, creatives, and makers it is important to remember that we are storytellers. This painting tells the story of peace amongst chaos.  Its a balance between energetic lines and subdued colors.

I am dreaming of days by the sea, curled up with a book in hand and a cozy blanket ... I hope this painting brings you there or wherever it is you seek peace and acts as an escape for the eyes.
