Georgie O’Keefe once said, “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way.”
This series was inspired by a black and white image of three women. I chose this image because of its contagious energy. These women balanced one another. As if they were standing in harmony working as one–sharing a story about what it is to be human…
A STORY OF STRENGTH. RESILIENCE. COURAGE.
This has been a surreal moment in time where we are called to put love into action. To work together to protect one another. Some may say it is the most remarkable act of global solidarity we may ever see.
This new collective experience offers us a way to build a more connected world. The only way I knew how to share this story was with color and shape. I saw peace, hope, love, joy, and vulnerability in these women. Each feeling is paired with a color.
Let these pieces be a reminder of what it means to be human. Let them unite us as one. To embody this new emerging connection, a portion of the proceeds of sales of this collection will go to Meals on Wheels.
